CoBrA- Art Movements This video explores the CoBrA Art Movement. CoBrA stands for Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Brussels. The Cobra artists are influenced by Abstract Expressionism, Naive art, Folk Art, children's art, Scandinavian myths, and Surrealism. This video focuses on the CoBrA art movement and its major artists- like- Asger Jorn, Corneille, Else Asfelt, Carl-Henning Pederson, Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, and Constant. These artists made both realistic and abstract paintings. They used bright, bold colors. Their art is both immediate and primitive. This video is an introduction to the CoBrA Art movement and its artists.
