A carburetor cleaning before performing the adjustment is recommended. 👉 I show step by step how to reset the carburetor screws in case the trimmer doesn't start, and then how to adjust the screws to the optimal air fuel mixture while the trimmer is running. 👉 Turning the screws clockwise reduces fuel and makes the engine run lean, and turning them counterclockwise makes the engine run rich and adds more fuel to the mix. Too lean or too rich will cause the engine to slow down. 👉 It is important to follow all steps mentioned in the video before doing the adjustment, to obtain a good adjustment. Doing the adjustment without the trimmer line in place for example is not a good idea because there is no load on the engine.
