¿Cómo imaginan el futuro los artistas jóvenes? Así nace Premoniciones de Balmaceda Arte Joven

Balmaceda Arte Joven presented its main projects for the second half of 2026 at #ArtesyOficios, including "Premonitions," the new edition of its national visual arts circuit, which will bring together young artists in an exhibition spanning five regions of the country. Paula Campos, Deputy Director of National Planning and Programming, explained the curatorial concept of this initiative, which invites reflection on contemporary crises, sensitivity, and the present through artistic creation. The discussion also touched on "Mala Memoria Freestyle," an initiative developed in collaboration with the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, where 13 young people transformed archives about childhood, memory, and human rights into rap songs. Representatives from Balmaceda Arte Joven shared their creative process, the work in professional studios, and the impact this educational project had on its participants. In addition, the program reviewed the activities that will mark the institution's second semester, including the intensive winter workshops, the State of Possibility laboratory, the artistic residency program, and the revival of the play Manual para que no se escape un recuerdo (Manual to Keep a Memory from Escaping).
