Fitting the Top Box and Mounting the Wings

There are days in a build when it still feels like a collection of parts. And then there are days like this. Today, the top box and both wings went on — the backbone and the lift that will one day carry November Tango into the sky. Tyler drove in the massive bolts (with proper hearing protection, of course), Liam gave the wing just the right wiggle to bring the plates into alignment, Matt with the firewall forward, and Eli working on the 2nd door. Four bolts per side today,... and just like that, wings were attached. And suddenly… it looked like an airplane. But structure is only half the story. Modern aircraft wiring is no small task. Radios, lights, fuel sensors, wingtip lighting — all of it depends on precise pin placement. One wrong wire and a switch for a light could move a flap. So while Tyler prepared the avionics area, I took on de-pinning and routing the wiring bundles through the fuselage conduits and into the top box. With the configuration sheet as our map, he handled the fine wiring work while I called out the coordinates. It’s a reminder that airplanes aren’t just built with aluminum and bolts — they’re built with patience, teamwork, and a little bit of trust.
