Au Pair - Modern slavery in Holland

In the Netherlands tens of thousands of people are exploited at work, for instance in construction, hospitality and domestic work. In particular, migrant workers are vulnerable. This woman came to the Netherlands as an au pair of an ambassador. "In the plane I was so excited about my new job." It soon became apparent what the family planned for her. She had to be ready for work 24 hours a day, for 145 euros a month. She was not allowed to leave the house. This woman is not alone.
