In this episode join me as I visit St Bertoline's church in Barthomley, Cheshire to see for myself the site of the Barthomley massacre that took place in the church tower on Christmas eve 1643 !!! I tell the story of the events that took place that saw twelve men murdered in cold blood by Major Connaught and his troops on that fateful day at the bottom of the tower.
