A dispute involving a resident of a condominium and two delivery drivers resulted in chaos and acts of vandalism in Rio de Janeiro. The woman demanded that the delivery driver take the food to her apartment. After the driver refused, she pulled out a gun during the confrontation in front of the building. The situation escalated when other delivery drivers arrived to protest the woman's actions. The demonstration got out of control, culminating in destruction at the scene. Images captured by those involved show the tense moments of the altercation. The woman tried to defend herself, stating to the police officer that she was not armed, claiming that the object in her hand was not a weapon, while the images indicate otherwise. The police officer emphasized that even a replica weapon can be considered a threat. The following day, a larger group of delivery drivers returned to the location to protest again. During this act, security cameras were damaged and stones were thrown at the building. In addition, automatic gates were broken by some of the participants. Authorities are investigating the case using images recorded by cell phones of those present at the time of the altercation, as well as cameras installed near the condominium. Witnesses will be interviewed as part of the investigations conducted by the Civil Police.
