Dive into the story of Warzone 2100, a 3D RTS originally released in 1999. There are a few special features in this game. Firstly, the continuity of buildings and units: There are three large areas (Alpha, Beta, Gamma), each of which has 9 to 12 sub-missions, and during these missions you can keep the buildings and units you have built so far (the latter also gain experience). Next up is the tech tree, which is enormous and is expanded by collecting artefacts. You can also try out many different combinations for your units based on the technologies you have researched. The gameplay offers many approaches, but unfortunately the mission design is quite monotonous. In addition, the graphic quality and sound mixing of the cinematics is much worse than in Command & Conquer, which is four years older.
