El mapa latino culinario de Berlín | ¡Aquí estoy!

Founded in 2017, LadoBerlín has become a go-to resource for Latinos living in the city, offering not only cultural content but also a space to navigate daily life in German, from bureaucratic procedures to a guide to the best Latin restaurants. Manuel Sierra Alonso, the magazine's founder, is also the creator of the Empanada Festival, an event that celebrates the diversity of Latin American cuisine, adapted to local tastes. During the festival, there is a competition for the best empanada in Berlin, where traditional recipes from Argentina, Colombia, and Venezuela are fused with German flavors. This festival, which coincides with German Reunification Day, aims to be a symbol of coexistence between cultures and a bridge between Latin America and Germany. "Berlin has emerged as a preferred destination for Latinos, surpassing cities like Madrid or Miami," says Manuel Sierra Alonso, adding that this is partly due to the scholarships and academic opportunities available in the German capital. In this conversation, he explores how the Spanish-speaking community has transformed the city, and how Berlin, in turn, has adapted to its new residents.
