Mazda RX-8 | SCCA DC Pro Solo Highlights Part 1

After almost 20 years of autocross, I finally entered my first SCCA Pro Solo, a unique competition format of autocross that slots in right below the SCCA Solo National Championships. This is part 1 of my Washington DC Region SCCA Pro Solo event highlights, where I attend SCCA's "starting line" pro launch school to dial in my staging, launch timing and rpm, and tire pressures, and then we review my best runs of each course as of Saturday and check the delta to the class leader. Can an RX-8 hang with the twins? Can a fairly mild build keep pace with nationally-competitive machines? Stay tuned for part 2, which will provide an exciting re-cap to a hard-fought weekend against nationally-competitive cars and drivers!
