Jade Mountain (Yushan) | Hiking Taiwan's Tallest Peak!

We summited Jade Mountain, the tallest peak in Taiwan standing at over 12,965 feet (3,952 m). Jade Mountain also known as "Yushan" is located in Yushan National Park, one of Taiwan's nine national parks. We hiked Jade Mountain in one day. This trail is approximately 14 miles long with over 4,500 feet in elevation gain. It is common for people to backpack and hike this trail over two days, so our one-day push to the top was quite challenging! We endured all the elements...rain, fog, wind, and sunshine.
