[Mario Kart 7] Backwards Tool-Assisted Compilation

Me, ‪@MKJulius‬ and ‪@jnpman8375‬ cooked this TASes compilation of the first lap backwards of all tracks where it's currently possible, as fast as possible. It has been an incredible journey working with these talented people. You might notice some weird combo, specifically Coconut Mall and Maple Treeway: For rCM, the glitch requires either a small character but also a mid character on the Pipe Frame because of the hitboxes. Immidiatelly we thought of using metal mario, since he has Medium hitboxes, but JNP tested and metal mario's accelleration was too bad to charge a mt in time for the turn. The alternative was using something like Toad BDasher but accelleration was not worth the lost of so much top speed.. For rMT we did a lot, and i really mean A LOT of tests since this is a very particular speedrunning category were you are forced to accellerate from a respawn/full stop 4 times, so for the first time accelleration is very important. Yoshi joda came up as the victor, with 1.026s to reach 44km/h (speed required to charge SSMT) and a top speed of 81.24km/h. Speaking of, what the hell happend in Maple Treeway?? Why do i just drive forwards?? Well, this track was solved recently thanks to the work of this amazing community. Just for this track, the Coin Counter has been replaced with the Key Checkpoint Counter. The first barriers are pretty straight forwards, but then we get to the cannon which can't be jump over. Therefore, MKWilliam discovered that you can go out of bounds and out of sync of the checkpoints with this specific glitch (game still think you are after the cannon) so you can just drive to the cannon, get back in checkpoint 1 and continue with checkpoint 0. This is called "rerouting" and it is used in other games too like Wii DK Summit backwards in MKWii. This undeniably counts as compleating the track backwards, since all key checkpoints has been reached in backwards order and at the end i reach lap -1. Also in tracks like SNES Mario Circuit 2, we know you can just drop in front of the blocks, but that skips a few checkpoints and let's be real, it's not as cool as all of that motion stuff.
