María de los Ángeles García García is a Spanish pharmacist and science communicator, better known as Marián García or Boticaria García. She comes from a family with ties to the pharmacy industry in the province of Cuenca. As she has jokingly mentioned in an interview, "she was raised in a pharmacy back room." Although she enjoyed writing and considered studying journalism or philology, she ultimately decided to follow the family tradition. She completed her apprenticeship as an assistant in the family pharmacy. Later, she worked as a pharmacist for seven years, until 2013, in a pharmacy in Villaescusa de Haro. Between 2013 and 2018, she worked in another pharmacy in Mejorada del Campo. After this twelve-year period of daily work with customers in an ordinary pharmacy, and “tired of hearing the refrain ‘I read on the internet that…’”, she decided to start a blog to explain, in a simple and educational way, the questions she encountered about health and nutrition. This blog, Boticaría García, was a resounding success and currently receives two million visits per month; it also has a strong presence on social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. Since 2018, she has combined public outreach with teaching a degree in Nutrition at Isabel I University. She has given more than 150 lectures in public and private organizations. Among other distinctions, she has been awarded the Carabela La Pinta Medal in its Gold category by the Official College of Pharmacists of Huelva for her work as a health communicator, the Spanish Association of Supermarket Chains (ACES) Award for best social media outreach on food, and the Sakata Award in the "senses" category for her work in food education. She has published the books, *The Impatient Patient*, *Radioactive Mucus*, *York Ham Doesn't Exist*, and *X-ray of a Cosmetic*. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she published the digital book 123 Questions About Coronavirus with journalist Arantxa Castaño.
