BUILDING A FTE TROOP CARRIER TO TRAVEL AUSTRALIA VLOG Installing Terrain Tamer Suspension - Ep1

We've been living the dream on the road for 4 months and we've hit a massive road block! Our beloved troop carrier home is no longer capable of towing our boat trailer. This was due to an accident that caused the car to roll on its side while 4WDing. As a result panel damage caused the car to be written off! Not to mention we were forever chasing an over heating issue in the motor due to constantly towing therefore we knew our next car had to have more power. This was huge for us as we were far away from family support and the car was what we lived out of. Lucky for us we were near Oscars place, our mate we travelled to Cape York with and he lives in the Atherton Tablelands of FNQ. A place we were able to be supported throughout this transition. Soon after the car became a write off we hunted for the next suitable troopy. Lucked out on crossing paths with Pierre, the previous owner of the FTE DI Troop Carrier. The car was not even for sale! After much discussion and consideration Pierre decided to do a deal with us. He sold us his car at his requested price PLUS our old Troop Carrier. It was a win win for everyone. Pierre allowed us to keep our fit out, suspension, battery setup, bar work etc so we could continue living from the new car. He always wanted to repair the roof and the stone chip damage on the sides of the car however due to his age and health he needed some help.
