The Sony Alpha 1 II | The Perfect Wildlife Camera - Field Test
What a huge honour to be amongst the first to use this beast of a camera out in the field. On the surface, the camera looks and feels pretty familiar, with the edition of the 4-axis multi-angle LCD Monitor, larger viewfinder eye cup and ergonomics just like the Alpha 9 III. On the inside, the technology has been taken up a whole new level especially when it comes to tracking your subject. The snappy autofocus along with the AI subject recognition is beyond phenomenal - It literally sticks on your subject whether it’s moving sideways, forwards, backwards, through bushes and foliage, and even through dust. This sequence here is a testament to Sony hearing our wants and needs when it comes to delivering the best possible product. The camera now feels like an extension of oneself, freeing you from the technicalities, and allowing you to focus on the creative part of the shooting process because it simply just works.
