The suspects allegedly robbed her mobile phone at knifepoint, using a car and a motorcycle. This successful arrest was made possible thanks to intensive investigations and field research conducted in record time. The perpetrators' location was identified, and they were apprehended inside a house in the Yaacoub El Mansour district. The vehicles used in the crime were also seized. All those arrested were placed in police custody pending the judicial investigation being conducted by the competent public prosecutor's office to uncover all the circumstances of the case. Furthermore, at the beginning of this week in July 2026, the General Directorate of National Security launched the deployment of its two smart patrol vehicles, "Aman" and "Madar," on the streets of Rabat, with the aim of extending their use to Casablanca, Tangier, and other major Moroccan cities. These advanced vehicles, developed with Moroccan security expertise, feature a comprehensive 360-degree camera surveillance system, artificial intelligence technologies for automatic license plate reading and real-time facial recognition, as well as panoramic cameras and integrated tracking devices directly linked to databases and command centers.
