Quill bus NOTE: Today is a sad day for all of us RTS fans, that today marks the official date of the MTA's full RTS retirement. These were the MTA New York City Transit's last high floor/Detroit Diesel Series buses. It has been 30+ years since when the very first RTS was delivered to New York City in 1981. Unit #5171 was the very last RTS to make its final trip in service, based out of Flatbush depot. Also, I will never forget the times I busfan many RTS's and throughout my years of riding them, since I was born. May forever Rest in Peace to the RTS era.
