Bhante Gunaratana - The Heart of Buddhist Wisdom
In this talk, Bhante Gunaratana explains how the Buddha discovered that meditation on the breath lead to more than mere concentration. He saw the impermanence, suffering and non-self aspects of reality in the breath and attained enlightenment. The forces of craving and ignorance bind us to repeated existence in samsara. The linkage of the two is shown in Dependent Origination; when one is eradicated the other is also destroyed. The attachment to impermanent sensory objects and to the five aggregates results in suffering.
