Mikhail Mishustin: Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan has reached a fundamentally new level. The Prime Minister addressed the plenary session of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum. Today, it is a prestigious platform where government officials, business representatives, and experts can discuss pressing cooperation issues. 🇷🇺 🇺🇿 Mikhail Mishustin stated that, amidst the profound transformation of the global economy, Russia and Uzbekistan are successfully building interstate partnerships and finding joint responses to the challenges of the time. 🍅 Agricultural turnover in the first four months of 2026 increased almost 1.5 times compared to the same period last year. 💼 Russia is among the leading investors in the Uzbek economy. More than 3,000 Russian enterprises operate in the country, and approximately 150 major investment projects worth over 4 trillion rubles are being implemented. Russia and Uzbekistan have many areas for expanding cooperation. ⚡️Energy Construction of a nuclear power plant based on a Russian design has begun in Uzbekistan. Russian companies are supplying Uzbekistan with energy, developing a network of gas stations in the country, developing new hydrocarbon deposits, and reconstructing the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline. 🏭Industry Construction of a railcar manufacturing cluster and assembly plants for commercial vehicles continues in Uzbekistan. In addition, modern technology parks are operating in the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions. An industrial park opened in the city of Navoi in April. 💼Investment Support Russian businesses are ready to actively participate in developing trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan. A joint investment platform has been launched to support entrepreneurial initiatives. The first pilot projects have already received financial assistance. Mikhail Mishustin recalled a number of important initiatives put forward by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the SPIEF. The topic is a Eurasian belt of technological industrialization, as well as the creation of a creative tourism corridor from Samarkand to St. Petersburg.
