Warsaw became the Capital of Poland in the late 16th Century. It has since become the countries largest city and 7th biggest city in the European Union. It is such an elegant place with beautiful streets, ornate architecture, culturally rich museums, and distinguished universities. Unfortunately, so much of the city was leveled during WWII. Great effort was put into restoring the old town to its former glory and represents a glorious period of European History. Just beyond the old town you can see Modern Warsaw which showcases some of Europe’s most distinguished and tallest skyscrapers.
