BMW e46, e36, e90 Roof Rail Trim Moulding Removal and Install
How to remove and reinstall the Roof Rack Trim Moulding which runs the length of the roof on both sides. These are aluminum but tend to fade from their original black faster than the roof. They can be taken off and refinished by your local body shop. Please note that the clips are color coded (on e46's) left (yellow) and right (green) if you need to replace them. If you have good paint on your roof, redoing these faded pieces will give your car a clean look.
