Nasu Animal Kingdom, located in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture, is home to over 600 animals from around the world (as of 2018) on a vast site approximately 10 times the size of the Tokyo Dome. There are many opportunities to interact with animals, including condors and alpacas, and shows are held daily. A WanNyan Bus is available for travel around the vast site, making it safe for small children and the elderly. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops. This zoo is divided into two areas: Kingdom Town and Kingdom Farm, and is home to 600 animals representing 150 species. Visitors can get up close and personal with the animals, even feeding them. There's also an indoor viewing area, perfect for inclement weather. There are also plenty of performances where you can experience the animals' abilities up close. Kingdom Farm is spread out in the great outdoors of Nasu. You can interact with alpacas, horses, sheep, and other animals amidst magnificent scenery. You can watch fantastic animal performances in the Sky Stadium and Event Square. *Animal performances and interactions may be canceled or moved to a different location due to weather. *The Kingdom Farm area is closed in winter.
