IIH Intervention: shunt or stent in people with IIH who are at risk of visual loss
Mr George Tsermoulas talks about the IIH Intervention trial. People with IIH typically have problems with eyesight and headache, but only a small proportion are at risk of permanent sight loss and require emergency intervention to prevent this. IIH Intervention is a trial that, for the first time, will directly compare two surgical treatments (shunting and stenting) that lower brain pressure to save eyesight, in order to find which one is better. Please post any questions relating to this video in the comments below, we can then relate them to Mr Tsermoulas and come back with answers.
