Sanctions 360: Sanctions relevant for the Western Balkans
By this video we expand the geographical scope of our series, Sanctions 360°, to the Western Balkans. In middle-90s, international sanctions against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia included one of the most comprehensive trade embargos in modern history. As the tensions de-escalated, so did the sanctions which are currently limited in scale. The region is an important historical precedent of the role of economic sanctions in international politics and the damage they inflicted on the civilian population. Thank you for watching!
