Woodturning Art: Segmented Vase from Rosewood and Maple

This video shows the process and final result of a segmented wooden vase made from a combination of rosewood and maple. The contrasting natural tones of the wood create a clean geometric pattern, highlighting the beauty of the segmented construction. This pattern was inspired by a pattern commonly used for 3D endgrain cutting boards, and I further developed it into a vase shape. The vase was carefully turned on a lathe and finished with a natural beeswax finish, which enhances the wood grain while keeping the color warm and authentic—without any artificial shine. This project focuses on precision, symmetry, and craftsmanship, making it perfect as a decorative piece of art or a collector's item. Thanks for watching.
