With “The Source” about to be released, can you give us a quick resume of the album’s story, and tell us where it falls in the Ayreon storyline? 2. So, the core of the story: this is the first time mankind must escape the rule of the machines. 3. How did you come up with the concept? Did you plan it to be the beginning of the Ayreon storyline? 4. So “The Source” could well have become a new Star One album but developed into something else... 5. ... and what inspires those Sci-Fi stories? 6. How do you pair singers with your characters? Do you have someone in mind for each one? 7. Is it the same with musicians? How do you find the right guest musicians to work with? 8. Did you all meet in your studio or did they send you their recordings? 9. We love the many layers we can find in Ayreon’s music, “The Source” being no exception. Do you always try to have these multi-layered structures? 10. We know you love to use analog instruments on your albums. Do you see that as a contrast towards the worlds of machines you describe in your stories? 11. Tell us about “Ayreon Universe”, the live shows coming up in September, what made you (finally) decide to produce such a monumental show? 12.
