REACHED HEAVEN at SAINT CLAIRS PEAK, AZ !!

Hey everyone! MJ and Doug here with an incredible adventure this past Monday evening. We hiked Saint Clairs Peak! Not to confuse it with Saint Clairs Mountain which is a few miles down the road. MJ and I have driven past this peak multiple times, and every time, we are like we NEED to get up there. So, we finally did! I parked in the OHV staging area off of Horseshoe Dam Rd. From there, you walk the St. Clairs OHV trail to the base of the two peaks. From there, you pick up a trail that leads you to the saddle. Once at the saddle, you are already presented with an incredible view of the surrounding area. Monday, we did not realize there is a trail that leads around the peak to the backside and up the eastern face of the peak. So, MJ and I just started walking lol. This was quite difficult. The brush wasn't the worse part, it was the loose rock. You had to be mindful of where you stepped and your calves got a workout of a lifetime. Unfortunately, due to going this route MJ and I made it just short of the peak. We were literally 20 yards from the top. However, the sun was dropping rapidly and already down behind the range in the west. And if you guys know what occurs at night in the desert, you would make a quick escape too. The cool temperatures and lack of sun bring out the cold blooded animals. Rattle snakes start appearing shortly after sunset, and MJ and I were not interested in meeting any new wildlife today. On our hike out, MJ and I had the surprise of the night! The Strawberry Full Moon occurred Monday night and the two of us received a breathtaking show. The moon rose over the mountain range in the east and the two of us stood there for almost 20 minutes in awe, as this magnificent, orange moon rose. I cannot express how beautiful that moment was. I am thankfully we had an opportunity to share it with you all! Thank you for joining us and welcome to ALMST TMRRW !!
