Bibliotopia 2024 | Rencontre avec Constance Debré
“The Cost of Freedom” Moderated by Salomé Kiner Constance Debré, a lawyer by profession, is a French writer whose subversive body of work includes four novels. Winners of the Prix de la Coupole and the Prix Les Inrockuptibles respectively, “Play Boy” (Stock, 2018) and “Love Me Tender” (Flammarion, 2020) explore identity and love in its various facets. More recently published by Flammarion, “Nom” (2022) and “Offenses” (2023) continue to blur the lines, particularly those drawn by family, heteronormativity, and good and evil, while also raising the question of the price of freedom.
