WATCH LIVE | Bail application: Amy’Leigh’s alleged kidnappers to learn their fate
Tharina Human, Pieter van Zyl and Laetitia Nel, three of the four people accused of kidnapping 6-year-old Amy’Leigh de Jager, will appear in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court on Friday. Magistrate Hussain Khota is expected to hand down judgment in their bail application. Amy’Leigh was snatched outside her school in Vanderbijlpark on September 2, 2019. Human, a suspended Laerskool Kollegepark Grade RR teacher, was a close friend of the De Jager family. The State is opposing bail for the three accused, arguing that their release would endanger society, Amy'Leigh and themselves.
