ESTUDO BÍBLICO 7 - DA ESCRAVIDÃO RELIGIOSA À FILIAÇÃO

FROM RELIGIOUS SLAVERY TO SONSHIP: When a Christian stops serving out of fear and begins to live as a son “For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” Romans 8:15 Not every servant lives as a son One of the greatest spiritual tragedies is someone being reached by grace but continuing to live with a slave mentality. The person believes in God. Prays. Serves. Goes to church. Knows the Bible. Does good works. But, inside, doesn't live as a beloved child. Lives as someone constantly threatened. Afraid of being rejected. Afraid of making mistakes. Afraid of losing God's love. Afraid of not being enough. Afraid of not doing enough. This person is not necessarily far from religion. Often, they are deeply involved in it. But his heart has not yet fully entered into sonship. Because there is a huge difference between being close to the things of God and resting as a son before the Father. The slave obeys out of fear. The son obeys out of love. The slave tries to prove his worth. The son receives identity. The slave works to be accepted. The son serves because he has already been loved. The slave fears punishment. The son reveres the Father. The slave hides when he fails. The son runs to the Father when he needs mercy. Christ did not come merely to form religious servants. He came to lead children to the Father. “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 #m8 #mrmarcosarneiro #brasil #reflection #devotional
