From Memory to the Senses: Celebrating a Decade of Discovery

This year marks a decade since Mort Zuckerman announced his bold and transformational commitment to endow the Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute. A state of the art research hub for cutting edge discovery, the last decade has enabled the Zuckerman Institute to bring together groups of talented researchers who study critical aspects of the mind and brain, gaining insights that promise to benefit people and societies everywhere. At the Zuckerman Institute, we believe that understanding how the brain works is one of the most urgent and exciting challenges of our time. University Professor and Nobel Laureate Richard Axel, MD, will lead a panel discussion that showcases and celebrates how Mort Zuckerman’s unprecedented commitment has enabled the Institute to sustain momentum for new discoveries, new techniques and new ideas that will collectively move science and humanity forward. With introductory remarks by Kavli Professor of Brain Science and Associate Director of the Zuckerman Institute, Daphna Shohamy, PhD, we invite you to please join us to hear about the groundbreaking research coming from the labs of three Zuckerman Institute Principal Investigators: Ishmail Abdus-Saboor, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences Dmitriy Aronov, PhD, Assistant Professor of Neuroscience Rudy Behnia, PhD, Assistant Professor of Neuroscience Please RSVP by Friday, October 21, 2022 For more information about this event, please contact Lisa Glynn at [email protected]
