How to sew a lined tote bag for beginners - easy tutorial! Making a tote bag is easier than you think! All you need for this project is: -2 pieces of fabric for the outside -2 pieces of fabric for the inside I used 4 pieces that all measured 16.5" by 18", but you can use different dimensions too! Just make sure they are all the same size. -2 24" straps which you can make from 48 inches (finished length) of 4" strips of fabric. I got this by joining 2 long strips of 4" fabric together.
