POST-OPERATIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY PROTOCOLS AFTER FLEXOR TENDON REPAIR AND OUTCOME ASSESSMENT METHODS
This video deals with the different protocols that can be followed after a successfully done flexor tendon repair. The protocols like the Early active protocols of Strickland, Evans and Sinferskiold are discussed. The early passive protocols like the Duran and Houser and the Kleinert protocols are also discussed in detail along with the modifications of the Kleinert regimen. The Immobilisation protocol is also indicated in some patients and the details of this are also discussed. The different methods of tendon exercises - the Tendon Gliding exercises, tendon blocking exercises and the tenodesis exercises are explained with illustrations and videos. The Groth 'pyramid' concept is discussed with an algorithmic approach. Different methods of Outcome measurement like the Strickland and Glogovac method, Buck Gramcko method and the TAM scoring are analysed.
