In this conference, Fr. Thomas Keating, with joyful gusto, uses a number of anecdotes to illustrate the need to let go of the false-self system. He looks at the way emotional programs are expressed by various temperaments and how values are expressed in material, emotional, intellectual, social and religious settings. If these emotional programs are gradually dismantled, human motivation will move more and more in the direction of Divine Love.  This is one video in a series of 31 hour-long talks by Thomas Keating that make up his foundational video teachings, “The Spiritual Journey with Fr.
