Periodontal disease is exceedingly common in pet dogs and cats but for many pet owners, this may remain a rather mysterious condition. In this video I give a highly simplified introduction to normal periodontal anatomy and the terminology and the progression of disease from the healthy state through to end-stage periodontal disease.
