Inexpensive lower unit stand
Shows how to build and use a simple and inexpensive lower unit stand. Couple of points - mentioned a width as 15 and 3/4 inches this should be 5 and 3/4 but really should be for your specific lower unit bell housing. Also you need to support your tilt cylinders as you remove the lower unit to prevent damaging the hoses. I have seen quite a few videos where people struggle to remove the lower unit once it unbolted. I use Permatex #2 on both sides of the gasket and it seals very good but does not harden so the lower unit separates easily..
