Prime Weld MiG 180 unboxing and testing

I started looking at replacement migs when my old miller (see miller video) needed repairs. But you know how it is, one repair leads to other things going out so it was decision time, hunt for obsolete parts or replace. This and 1 other were at the top of my list. (I was hoping to get their 225 tig first) After talking with their sales staff and tech department numerous times getting info on their mig, the customer service alone sold me. An added bonus was the machine included a spool gun so I could do some alum repairs if needed. I am glad I made the decision, after playing with the welder more and getting the hang of volts vs old school amps. I still like the old, here is you base setting and adjust wire speed from there, but the new volts / wire speed is defiantly more adjustable for thin metals. My only real meh with the machine and its personal preference is the power switch on the back and the trigger on the mig torch is small and very sensitive. I talked with Dustin over there and he said they would have a torch made for me that matched my old miller torch just take a few weeks. Now that's customer service right there. https://primeweld.com/products/mig180... or through Amazon https://amzn.to/3la1Zll
