In this video, I show you how to play and read the eighth note triplet and the quarter note triplet for any musical instrument. The triplet is used to play groups of three notes in sheet music with duple time signatures. A quarter note triplet or an eighth note triplet is written with three of its notes with a 3 above or below it. The triplet is read the same on sheet music or tablature, regardless of whether it's the same musical note or a chord.
