Piton des Neiges, the highest peak on the volcanic island of Réunion at 3,070 meters above sea level, and the highest mountain in the Indian Ocean. Together with my wonderful travel companions and fellow students Johannes and Amelie, I climbed this magnificent volcano. It was the third 2,000-meter+ volcano I hiked in 2023.
