Dr. Mayank Kakkar currently a Post-doctoral dental resident at the Eastman Institute for the Oral Health at the University of Rochester, NY, USA, pursuing a combined three years program which includes one year of fellowship in Complex care Center along with the two years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry(AEGD) residency. This podcast covered the process, duration, differences, expenses in detail. The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Postdoctoral Program is a 12-month certificate program with an optional second year. The AEGD program is open to US/Canadian and foreign-trained dentists. The General Practice Residency (GPR) is an intensive postgraduate training program fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The program is designed to train the general dentist in the management of medically complex and special-needs patients in both outpatient and hospital settings while increasing knowledge in the practice of dentistry and its various disciplines.
