"It was murder!" is a new true crime format that reconstructs real German murder cases in a thrilling and unique way. The documentary tells the story in detail from the first-person perspective of the murder victim, up until the murder itself. The investigation and the solution to the murder are then described. The victim's relatives and real investigators have their say. The events are reenacted chronologically using original footage and actors. The viewer follows the background story, the crime, and the investigation up to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. The first case concerns the murder of horse farmer Christin Rexin (21). She was murdered on June 21, 2012 – after four attempted murders. A dramatic case that attracted attention throughout Germany. But why did the young woman have to die? What perfidious plan was behind it? Why did it take the police so long to find out what happened?
