Canadian Pacific 2816 "The Empress"- Steam in Western Canada

Visit beautiful Western Canada and pay a visit to one of North America's handsomest steam locomotives, Canadian Pacific's Hudson 4-6-4 #2816., the Empress. The 2816 is CP's ambassador of goodwill, and you'll see her pulling a special photo train along the beautiful Bow River through the stunning scenery near Banff and Lake Louise. Then you'll see her in action pulling a passenger train from Calgary to Edmonton and return. Enjoy great runby action, as well as mile after mile of pacing right alongside the engine. This program was released in 2006 during 2816's first "post steam" career. We were using what is now ancient equipment so the image quality is not quite as good as our 2024 release, but one can see 2816 running in several places in western Canada.
