A new trailer for the film "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun: Graduation" (directed by Koji Maeda, opening on the 5th), starring Kanna Hashimoto of the idol group "Rev. from DVL," was released on March 3rd. The new trailer pays homage to the 1981 film "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun," starring Hiroko Yakushimaru, juxtaposing old and new footage, synchronizing captions and dialogue. "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun" is based on a novel by Akagawa Jiro, which has sold over 2.6 million copies in total. The story follows high school sophomore Hoshi Izumi, who, following her father's death, takes over as boss of the Metaka-gumi, a rundown yakuza gang with only four members. The film starring Yakushimaru, released in 1981, was a hit. It was also adapted into a TV series, starring Harada Tomoyo in 1982 and Nagasawa Masami in 2006. "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun: Graduation" is based on Akagawa's sequel novel, "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun: After That: Graduation." It was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Kadokawa Pictures. Hashimoto, in her first leading role in a film, was chosen to play the protagonist, Hoshi Izumi. Hasegawa Hiroki plays Tsukinaga, an older man whom Izumi admires, Ando Masanobu plays Yasui, a man in the organization who stands in Izumi's way, and Takeda Tetsuya plays the young leader of the Metaka-gumi, which Izumi leads, with Ohno Takuro and Uno Shohei also appearing as gang members. #### "Too high matching rate!
