Join me on a late Winter night in the Cambridgeshire Fens as I shoot the quintessential Winter constellation of Orion above a local stream. I create Nightscape Journals to bring you along on my nighttime adventures in the peaceful countryside under the stars, and hopefully share the joy and peace I experience while out shooting nightscapes. The landscape is a special place at night as your senses are heightened. As well as letting you soak up the atmosphere, I'll walk you through what I'm doing and what my thought processes are around composition and settings. This isn't a tutorial, but I hope it inspires you to take your camera out at night and capture some of the majesty above our heads while everyone else is sleeping.
