ELETTRICA CONVIENE? 10 COSE che (forse) NON sapevi della Ford PUMA GEN-E

Request a test drive of the new Ford Puma Gen-E: https://link.moto.it/fordpuma The Ford Puma is a historic name for the brand, having evolved from an iconic sports coupé to a highly successful compact crossover. With its latest restyling, Ford also introduced the fully electric Puma Gen-E, alongside the mild-hybrid gasoline versions, marking a significant step toward electrification of the Puma range. Aesthetically, the Puma Gen-E immediately stands out from the internal combustion engine versions: the front features a full, dedicated grille for the aerodynamic and cooling needs typical of an electric car, headlights with a new light signature, and details such as spoilers and redesigned wheels to optimize efficiency. The absence of an exhaust pipe leaves the rear cleaner and allows for greater interior space. On the road, the electric Puma offers significantly more driving pleasure than the mild hybrid gasoline version, thanks to a front electric motor producing approximately 168 hp and 290 Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in about 8 seconds. In Normal or Eco mode, the ride is comfortable and predictable, while in Sport mode, the responsiveness of the electric power delivery shines through. The steering is precise and well-calibrated, with a setup that conveys a pleasant feeling of control while remaining typical of a compact SUV. The Puma Gen-E is not without its trade-offs: the overall weight of more than 1,500 kg due to the battery pack and the platform configuration—derived from that of the mild hybrid versions—result in less agility than electric compacts built on dedicated platforms, and the rear seat may be more cramped for tall adults. The charging system features an AC charger with up to 11kW and a DC charging capacity of up to 100kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 23–27 minutes on compatible fast charging stations. The claimed range in the WLTP combined cycle is approximately 376km, with figures that can be even higher in urban use thanks to greater energy regeneration. Inside, the Puma Gen-E is updated with a 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster and the SYNC4 multimedia system with up to a 12-inch display, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a 5G modem. The cabin is modern and well-finished for the segment, with some touch-sensitive elements and an intuitive interface, although some might prefer more physical controls for functions like the climate control. One of the most appreciated features is the cargo space: thanks to the absence of the exhaust pipe and the redesigned rear compartment, the trunk reaches a declared capacity of approximately 566 liters, with an adjustable cargo floor and useful compartments for objects and equipment. In terms of price, the Puma Gen I starts at around €32,950 for the base version and rises to over €35,200 for higher-end trim levels, with the possibility of incentives and dedicated financing options that can significantly reduce the initial outlay. Ultimately, the 100% electric Ford Puma Gen-E represents a significant evolution of the Puma offering: it retains the compactness, efficiency, and urban agility of the original model, while enhancing driving technology, enjoyment of use, and sustainability. It is a particularly attractive option for those seeking a practical electric crossover for everyday use, with lower running costs and a modern technology package, albeit with some compromises in terms of interior space and the configuration derived from a non-native electric platform.
