Simply honest and good! 🤍🍄 ⭐ Grandma's Legendary Mashed Potatoes The secret tip: We mix golden-brown sautéed onions and fresh dill directly into the hot potatoes. This gives the incomparable taste of yesteryear! 🥔✨ 🛒 Ingredients For the Mushroom Chicken: Chicken: 2 chicken breast fillets (sliced thinly horizontally) Spices: Salt & black pepper to taste For frying: Olive oil + 2 tbsp butter Vegetables: 1 red onion (finely chopped), 200g mushrooms (sliced) Aromatics: 2 garlic cloves (pressed) Sauce base: 2 tbsp flour, 160ml broth, 240ml milk Garnish: A small bunch of fresh parsley (chopped) For the Mashed Potatoes: Potatoes: 4–5 large potatoes (peeled and diced) Flavor: 1 onion (finely chopped) + 1 tbsp butter for sautéing Texture: 1 tbsp butter + 3 tbsp milk Spices: Salt & black pepper to taste Garnish: A small bunch of fresh dill (chopped) 👩‍🍳 Preparation 1. The Perfect Mashed Potatoes Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft. Drain well. In a small pan, melt 1 tbsp butter and sauté the onion cubes until golden yellow. Mash the potatoes while still hot. Add the sautéed onions, remaining butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy and fold in the fresh dill at the end. Keep warm. 2. The Golden Mushroom Chicken Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat. Sear the meat until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, sauté the red onion until translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown. Briefly sauté the garlic (about 30 seconds), then sprinkle the flour over it. Sauté for 1 minute to eliminate the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in the broth and milk while stirring constantly. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Return the chicken to the pan. Let it simmer for 5–7 minutes until cooked through and beautifully coated in sauce.
