Another suspect in the attempted assassination of a ROTA lieutenant has been arrested in São Paulo. Twelve days after the crime, police detained Luiz Henrique de Oliveira Nascimento, identified by the investigation as the one responsible for abandoning the motorcycle used in the attack near the Heliópolis favela, in the southern part of the city. He denies involvement. According to the police, in addition to attempting to conceal the motorcycle, Luiz Henrique allegedly erased fingerprints that could help identify others involved. In the last five years, he has been arrested four times for drug trafficking. The attack occurred on June 27th in São Caetano do Sul, in Greater São Paulo, when Lieutenant Ronickson Pimentel, who was off duty and returning from the gym, was shot. He remains hospitalized in the ICU. Luiz Henrique is the third suspect arrested; two others are being investigated for assisting in the criminals' escape. During the investigations, four men died in confrontations with ROTA. The shooter was identified as Hércules da Costa Siqueira, known as "Golias". Police believe he has left the country and have added his name to Interpol's wanted list.
