Hike to Venable Lake // Colorado's Sangre De Cristo Mountains

In this video we take you on a 10 mile adventure to Venable Lake. Located in Colorado's Wet Mountain Valley near the town of Westcliffe, this hike with 3,000 feet of gain and a rocky trail surface proved to be quite challenging for us. Once we made it to the lake, we relaxed, soaked in the beautiful views and caught a couple of nice sized trout which made the effort all worth it. One more thing....there's a beautiful waterfall on the way to the lake that is worth taking a short detour to check out. We hope you enjoy the video!
