KONE Traction Elevators - Central Arkansas Library System (Main Branch), Little Rock, AR

(Filmed late March 2026) This trio of KONE elevators - a set of two by the 2nd Street entrance and a MonoSpace closer to where Rock Street used to be - were put in place as part of a major renovation project in the early-mid 2020s. The two by 2nd Street were likely near-total modernizations, right down to the motors being replaced, while the MonoSpace was a brand new install aimed at serving an added rooftop terrace. While the modded cars are faster than the MonoSpace, I’m very impressed by just how efficient the MonoSpace is. The modded elevators, apart from their KSS 570-style floor indicators, use Innovation Universal fixtures with KONE’s own chimes. The MonoSpace, on the other hand, uses full KSS 570 fixtures, leading to a mismatch in fixtures that I admittedly kinda like.
