After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he joined Hiroshima FM Broadcasting in 1996. After going independent in 2006, he pursued his childhood dream of becoming a pro wrestling and martial arts commentator. In 2015, he became the first person in history to commentate for the world's three major promotions: New Japan Pro-Wrestling, WWE, and UFC. As a "top runner in the commentary world," he has honed his "commentary art" by presenting commentary as a storytelling art, and actively collaborates with professionals from other industries.
